Commissioning Engineer | Global travel required | Permanent | Up to £47,000
are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to set up stand alone machines or an entire production line ready for use and deliver training to the operators at customer sites.  
 
This is an exciting role where you will be working away and TRAVEL anywhere in the world for 3 weeks at a time, following the installation of the machines, it will be your responsibility to set up machines after installation and work with the operators on site.  So, you will be away for 3 weeks.  You will then travel home and have 1 week off, before travelling back to the site, or a different site, depending on the size of the job. 

Responsibilities:
  • You will coordinate with the Project Coordinator on the commissioning work to be performed on-site and the set schedule. 
  • Coordinating with the Site Supervisor and/or Senior Installation Engineer regarding handover of installation work.  
  • Involves commissioning the machine based on the Acceptance Protocol, including starting the machine after installation. 
  • Checking the machine for correct connection of all parts (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software). 
  • Point of contact for technical aspects during commissioning at customer location, providing feedback to Project Coordinator. 
  • Identifying bottlenecks, both technical and planning to the Project Coordinator.
  • Performing various test runs for production based on the Acceptance Protocol. 
  • Solving technical problems. 
  • Recording and te-rugging to the PC all machine parameters at the time of transfer to the customer. 
  • Giving instruction and training to machine operators about the operation and maintenance of the machine. 
  • Assessing the level of knowledge of the machine operator and giving feedback about this to the Project Coordinator.  
  • Process Improvement, Quality, reporting and Safety.  
 
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical systems.
  • previous experience working as a Commissioning Engineer
  • Experienced in root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on a range of electrical and mechanical breakdowns repair of plant, machinery, and services.
  • Ability to interpret and follow electrical drawings and schedules.
  • Willing to Travel and work away (with a compensation package)
  • NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
