Job Title: Precision Assembler – Electro mechanical assembly

About the role: You will be involved in all aspects of the production from kit parts to the finished product. This will include use of electrical test equipment, mechanical assembly, light press work, bearing fitting, soldering and small hand tools. Experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided. The role requires a person who is reliable, enthusiastic, hard working and skillful as well as able to perform some physical tasks to include packing finished units.

Reporting to: Production Cell Leader

Salary: Based on experience. £11.44 - £13.00 per hour. Benefits include: 23 days holiday, life cover and excellent transport links, walking distance from Alton train station and on-site parking just off the A31.

Hours: 39hrs per week, 07:00am – 17:00 pm Mon – Thurs, although flexibility is often required in order to meet customer deadlines.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· General light soldering of wiring and brush assemblies

· Mechanical assembly of components and fixings

· Correct use of tooling for bearing fitting

· Understanding and reading of assembly drawings and specifications

· Adherence to assembly instructions

· Handling and fitting of bearings

· Magnet Handling and use of adhesives

· Drilling and pining of shafts

· Polishing/dressing of armatures

· Motor testing and use of hand held test equipment

· Inspection with use of hand measuring equipment

· Handling and fitting of electronic components and printed circuit board assemblies

· Experience of working within an ISO 9001 and AS9100 manufacturing environment

· Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures

· Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
