For a global industrial company that builds technological capabilities in Aerospace, Defence & Security, plays a prominent role in major international strategic programmes and is a trusted technological partner of governments, defence agencies, institutions and enterprises. They have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Paris.

You will become the main interface between Company's remote technical support and the on-site maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will monitor and control the performance of the Automation & IT infrastructure during the system operation;
  • You will proactively assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving any issues that may lead to abnormal system operation;
  • You will configure and troubleshoot industrial networks;
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and timelines.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commissioning and maintaining control systems for complex machinery and facilities within the material handling/logistics sectors.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting industrial networks;
  • Familiarity with ICT architectures, including hardware, networking, operating systems, databases, and virtualization is considered a plus;
  • In-depth knowledge of both hardware and software components of automation systems.
  • Proficient in Siemens development environments, specifically Step 7 and WinCC advanced, with a focus on Siemens PLC programming (proficiency in AWL language is desirable).
  • Experience in the configuration and startup of Profinet and Profibus networks.
  • Hands-on experience in the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Variable Frequency Drives, particularly Nord.
  • Technical training at the BAC level (type BAC professional MEI or BAC technological STI2D) and must have a complementary training BAC + 2 (type BTS or DUT specialized in electrical engineering, systems maintenance, CRSA or industrial maintenance)
  • Native proficiency in French or equivalent
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
