An opportunity exists to join an expanding Building Services Contractor in northwest England.

The company provide various services including design, servicing, installation and PPM across a wide variety of sectors including Retail, Leisure, Education, Commercial and Industrial. This is a fantastic opportunity for a career minded Mechanical PM to step into a Senior Management post within the organisation.

You will ensure successful delivery on current live projects and work closely with the Directors to secure new work giving you the opportunity to establish yourself as a key member of the Senior Management team. You will have a strong technical background and have prior experience of managing large scale projects within the Building Services industry.

You will have previous experience of managing Engineers and sub-contractors and be commercially astute. Ideally you will be educated to a minimum ONC in either Mechanical Engineering or Building Services and have experience working for an established Mechanical or M&E contractor within a similar role.

Details:

  • Provide leadership for the project delivery team, if appropriate, to maximise the potential of the team and the individuals within.
  • Ensure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with internal procedure and external legislation governing business operations.
  • Provide input in the preparation of the business plans and budgets based on the initial contract parameters and objectives. Seeking opportunities and suggest actions which maximises profit on the project.
  • Provide appropriate input to all monthly reviews in line with the business procedures to ensure that the senior management have full knowledge of the completion and financial status of the project.
  • Manage the successful completion of the project/area under control in line with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints.
  • Ensuring design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements
  • Maintaining positive relationships with the project customer through efficient delivery of projects with a view to optimising future opportunities and profitability.
  • Demonstrate appropriate Health and Safety leadership throughout all activities relating to the project on which you are working.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven mechanical project management experience
  • Building services experience in a construction environment
  • Experience in the UK & Ireland
