Coulter Elite is recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Test Engineer based in Peterborough. As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment and machinery through meticulous testing and supervision. You will be responsible for utilizing computer aided software to modify electrical drawings and machine software, as well as continuously improving test certificates and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Main Duties:

• Test and supervise the electrical testing of all equipment and machinery.
• Use computer aided software to modify electrical drawings and machine software.
• Continually develop and improve test certificates and test procedures.
• Develop ways to improve the efficiency of testing.
• Monitor status of the testing schedule in line with production.
• Stay familiar and up-to-date with all projects.
• Ensure the latest full package of documentation (electrical drawings, datasheets) is sent to the customer inside the electrical panel and available in the project contract folder.
• Record all tests and fill in corresponding test certificates.
• Ensure testing complies with safety regulations.
• Attend meetings, provide in-house and external training, write reports, and give presentations to managers, clients, and service engineers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in electrical testing and supervision.
• Strong understanding of test procedures and certification processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
