Design Engineer | London, NW9 | Full Time | Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5pm with working launch, Friday 8.45am to 1pm  | £36,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

Are you a meticulous Design Engineer with a passion for innovation?

Our client is on the lookout for two Design Engineers to join their dynamic team, one of whom will bring senior-level experience to the table.

As a Design Engineer, you'll be at the heart of the innovation and design process. From conceptualisation to realisation, you'll be instrumental in researching, developing, and refining new ideas and prototypes.

Your role will involve collaborating closely with suppliers, overseeing manufacturing processes, and continuously enhancing the efficiency and performance of their products.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to create precise blueprints and instructions
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • A creative and innovative mindset with a knack for problem-solving

What will your role look like?

  • Create 3D Modelling, Draw detailed blueprints and schematics
  • Develop test prototypes and assess their performance
  • Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency
  • Implement strategic design initiatives
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Estimate project costs and establish budgets
  • Conduct thorough research to track prototype performance
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and schedules
  • Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to design specifications
