My client is a leading Refrigeration and Air Conditioning company based in Birkenhead, North West England. They specialise in Industrial Refrigeration, Refrigeration and HVAC, providing a wide range of services from design and installation to maintenance, service, and direct supply of spare parts.

Role Description

As an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing industrial refrigeration systems to ensure they are operating at optimum efficiency and performance levels. You will be required to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Installation and commissioning of various industrial refrigeration equipment (optional)

· Maintain, repair and provide service support to a diverse range of air-conditioning systems

· Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of systems

· Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, determining appropriate repair solutions

· Repair and/or replace defective components

· Provide detailed and accurate records of work performed

· Provide technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues.

· Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and apprentices

· Maintain a clean and organised vehicle and work environment

· Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and processes

Qualifications Required

· City & Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 2/3)

· City & Guilds 2079 (Cat 1) or BESA Equivalent

· City & Guilds 2078 Ammonia Handling (provided)

· City & Guilds CO2 (Level 3) (provided)

· Full (Clean) UK Driving Licence or equivalent

· IPAF (provided)

· PASMA (provided)

· SPA Passport (provided)

· DBS check (required)

· Strong industrial refrigeration knowledge

· Sound controls knowledge

· Manufacturer training (preferable)

· Proven experience working on industrial refrigeration plants and associated equipment
