The basics:

Job Title: Production Planner - machining and fabrication department.

Environment: Manufacturing - precision engineering

Location: Derby

Hours: Monday - Thursday - 07:30-16:00. Friday - 07:30-12:30 39hrs per week.

Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum.

Role: Permanent

Holidays: 33 days

Overview:

Working in modern, purpose built, manufacturing facilities we now require a Production Planner to join the team.

The Production Planner will be responsible for managing all production planning and MRP control activities for the site, working closely with the production team leaders, production manager and the Materials and Production Planning manager.

Overview of responsibilities

• Produce a production plan that maximises labour and machinery resource.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure quality on time production.
• Measure and produce capacity plans
• Ensure data is up to date and correct

The ideal candidate / Production Planner may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience working in a production planning role within a manufacturing/production environment - ideally within an assembly focused environment.
• Any experience in a machining and fabrication environment beneficial
• SAP experience
• Competent working with computers including Microsoft Excell spreadsheets
• A confident communicator as the role will have elements of being out on the production floor liaising with the production team.
