Are you an experienced Project Planner with a background in the Nuclear or defense sector? Do you have a strong aptitude for planning complex projects and overlooking potential project threats? If so - get in touch as we gave an exciting role in Stone for one of our esteemed clients. They have a healthy order book with exceptional growth in the energy department, which offers training, development, and career growth. You will be managing systems contracts for major clients, ranging from integrating with existing C&I systems to standalone and greenfield projects. These contracts, valued in the millions, involve turnkey solutions primarily based on PLC/SCADA technology and encompassing safety systems. Your role will encompass the full project lifecycle, from Requirements Definition to ongoing support.

Role Description:

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to enhance project controls, tools, and reporting standards.
  • Lead the planning team in developing and maintaining detailed project plans and resource allocation using Primavera P6.
  • Manage project implementation databases, paper records, H&S information, and compliance data.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered according to plan.
  • Report progress, performance, resource utilization, and commercial insights to the Project Management team and Operations Manager.
  • Coach and support team members in planning, particularly in utilizing the P6 planning tool.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and project planning tools.
  • Experience with NEC3/4 contracts, CEMAR, delay claims, and impact programs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Background in project controls implementation.
  • Comfortable in IT or control system environments.
  • Experience in risk management and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Analysis and consolidated project reporting.
  • Experience in material procurement, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Competence in work planning, S-curve generation, and cost reporting.
