SPR are currently recruiting for a motivated person with technical expertise to join our established clients team as a Quality Assurance/Technical Advisor.

Location: Hutton, England Essex
Salary: Up to £45K + Benefits  
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

We are seeking a Quality Assurance/Technical Advisor to work full time on sites within the Greater London/Essex area. 

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance/Technical Advisor:
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on fire compartmentation installations to ensure compliance with the manufacturer's instructions, certification body, and industry guidelines. Assess installer competence and oversee improvement processes.
  • Provide training and technical briefings to installation teams to enhance knowledge and keep up with new solutions and guidance.
  • Perform site audits before project starts to recommend suitable products for site and client needs.
  • Manage external certification body (Firas) compliance processes and audits.
  • Support operations teams with technical information and best practices under the Technical Manager's guidance.
  • Assist in passive fire protection project designs by selecting appropriate products for performance requirements.
Essential Requirements / Experience: 
  • Previous experience in passive fire protection is essential
  • Solid working knowledge of fire-stopping and structural steel fire protection systems with a corresponding relevant qualification (e.g. IFE Level 2 in PFP)
  • Experience using electronic recording software (e.g. Bolster, One Trace) and good computer literacy, in Microsoft packages are desirable
  • The successful candidate will need the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and floor plans.
  • Full UK Drivers License as travel is required
  • DBS Check
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
