An experienced Control Panel/System Design Engineer opportunity is available with my client who specialise in industrial & commercial electrical installations and the manufacture and design of control panels and systems. They are looking for an experienced engineer to help drive the business forward. You will be required to sell, design, quote, organise, project manage through to build, installation, commissioning and handover at the existing successful control panel workshop, alongside assisting with the running of the shop floor.

Control Panel/System Design Engineer role:

• Designing and estimating all types of large and small bespoke control panels for varied industries
• Safety Circuit Design
• Manage health & safety aspects at the production site and drive increased safety performance
• Driving both new and existing business, maximise income streams, expanding customer base, generating new enquiries and following through on all leads
• Production of Schematics, single line diagrams, scope of works, layouts, BOM`s, IO Lists and configurations

Control Panel/System Design Engineer requirement:

• Educated to relevant electrical engineering discipline
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• EPLAN would be an advantage
• Good understanding of PLC architecture
• Basic PLC programming is an advantage
• Understanding of ATEX / DSEAR regulations & specialist components would be an advantage
• Previous experience managing a busy workshop environment
• Determination to increase quality standards
• Good Communication skills
• Good document control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Computer literate Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Zoom
