Candidate - Experienced domestic plumbing and heating engineer, with hands on experience servicing, fault find and fix on ASHP's and with knowledge of heating controls, plumbing and wiring with air source heat pumps. If you have only installed ASHP's then please still apply as FGAS qualification will be given.

The Position

This is a brand-new Renewables Engineer position serving heat pumps, working directly for one ot he largest Renewable Heating Manufacturers in the UK, that has been created due to unprecedented growth. As the Renewables Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining an ever increasing amount of air source heat pumps on residential housing projects both new build housing developments through housebuilders and social housing schemes, new build or retro fit, through local authorities and housing associations.

Experience Required

Due to the nature of the role you must have extensive experience in plumbing and heating either install or service of domestic or commercial unvented hot water systems incorporating boilers AND/OR heat pumps - either Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP's) or Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP's) or other renewable technologies such as solar PV, heat recovery, and underfloor heating. Furthermore, recognised industry training and further education qualifications such as City & Guilds plumbing and heating, BPEC, WREGS, G3 unvented hot water systems, F-gas, boiler training, heat pumps and electrical training are an advantage (please see info below). If you have no ASHP expereince but are a highly experienced boiler service technician then please still apply.

Applicable Qualifications (not all required as training given)

NVQ Level 2 Plumbing, Heating Ventilation, NVQ Level 3 Plumbing, Heating Ventilation, FGAS, Electrics, WREGS, G3, Heating Controls, Part Y, Part L,18th Edition, Airconditoning and Heatpumps, Ventilation and Heat Pumps, Installation, commissioning and servicing of Air Source Heat Pumps.
