Our client, a manufacturer of ground-breaking electric vehicles operating at the leading edge of technology is currently hiring an Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will support the company’s plan to deliver their projects, following standard operating procedures and following build plans to produce products safely, on time to exceptional quality standards.
 
The Electrical Technician will:
  • Perform wiring harness build function from oral and /or written instructions, drawings, or Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Carry out HV vehicle assembly sign off processes.
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problems areas or parts shortages.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment in area of assignment as required.
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
 
The Electrical Technician will have:
  • Either a recognised qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND or degree level) in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline, or through work experience gained on the job.
  • Prior experience working within wiring harness or electronic build or development within a motorsport or automotive company or similar high-paced environment.
  • Preferable IPC or other soldering qualification, or regular soldering in a professional environment.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and work from written instructions with limited supervision.
  • A high level of health and safety awareness.
