Highways Design Engineer - London - Full Time - Permanent

We are looking for a Highways Design Engineer with 1 - 3 years' of UK experience to join a rapidly growing international consultancy!

The Company: Are an international multidisciplinary consultancy with thousands of staff worldwide, including a growing presence in the UK. With over fifty years in the market, the company are looking to expand to fulfil an ever-growing pipeline.

The firm offers services across a vast range of disciplines including Transport, Water, Building & Cities, MEP, Telecoms & Energy, Agricultural Engineering & Rural Development, Tunnels, Bridges, Development and more.

The Role: You would be involved in a range of exciting highways projects, of both local and national significance. This could include HS2 related highways works, 'A' roads and development related highways.

Requirements:

  • Have a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent in a similar technical discipline.
  • Have the desire to become a Chartered Engineer (with the ICE/CIHT/ similar).
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal skills, allowing effective communication.
  • To have acquired some detail design experience in the highways discipline.
  • To have good understanding of Highway design standards (DMRB, MfS, LTN's)
  • Ability to work in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and the AutoDesk ecosystem.
  • Ability to work in a dedicated and collaborative team.
  • Ability to work in pressured situations and deliver work within set timeframes.
  • Ability to use initiative and work with autonomy.
