CATHODIC PROTECTION ENGINEERS

Corroconsult UK Ltd is a global provider of cathodic protection and electrical engineering solutions to the oil and gas, water, energy and railway industries. We are a company built on a 30-year history of serving the energy sector with our problem solving and design expertise.

We have vacancies for experienced cathodic protection engineers to oversee and implement cathodic protection systems and stray current issues. Projects are largely based in Europe, but we handle projects all around the world.

Candidates for this role must be willing and able to travel, up to about 40% of the time.

Cathodic Protection Engineer Major duties and Responsibilities.

• Evaluate, design, and oversee the installation of cathodic protection systems for various onshore structures e.g. pipelines, jetties, above-ground installations,
• Conduct field surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of cathodic protection systems,
• Undertake stray current measurement surveys,
• Manage CIPS and DCVG surveys and analyse results,
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications,
• Mentor technicians.

Cathodic Protection Engineer Essential Qualifications/Requirements

• Certification equivalent to NACE Level 3 or higher
• Familiarity with European and International standards and recommended practices
• Good communication skills
• Team player
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the UK
• Valid UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage time and budgets
• Computer skills

Cathodic Protection Engineer Desirable, but not Essential, Competencies

• Familiarity with MathCad or Matlab software
• Electrical, Chemistry or Physics degree/background
