My client is seeking a Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Assembly Operators.  You will ensure that all processes and activities are executed to the expected and targeted level. This involves contact with key stakeholders, working in close cooperation with related functions, and reporting of KPIs. 

You are resilient and have a collaborative approach.  You have supervisory and team leader skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.  You have a good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of poor quality.  You are a decisive and proactive person, with great communication skills.  You are motivated by driving continuous improvement.

Typical work activities include:, but are not limited to

  • To comply with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Reporting any relevant issues to immediate Supervisor.
  • Obtain product parts, materials, tools etc., set up bench and test facility, assemble and test product.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement and on accomplishing Departmental and Plant goals. Using the Lean System work processes as and when applied to the area.
  • Ensuring the customer is provided with products to his / her quality requirements in the right quantity and on time.
  • Reconcile product, product documentation and produce to meet customer need.
  • Leading the team, coordinating their workloads, and providing support to ensure that all inbound and outbound activities are completed in time to meet expected timescales.
  • Assisting in running an efficient, end-to-end operation, working with the right people, fulfilling operational and customer demands, and meeting set targets
  • Ensuring stocks in your area of responsibility are accurate, through cycle counting and correct recording of stock movements.
  • Spending time ‘on the floor’ to monitor, coach, and evaluate the performance of the team.
  • Implementation and ownership of KPI/ metrics to support the department’s development and to secure direction.

  • Possess drive and enthusiasm to help meet monthly production targets.
  • Demonstrate a practical knowledge of Mechanical assembly.
  • Demonstrate PC skills.
  • Demonstrate a practical understanding of Hydraulic assembly processes.
  • Be able to work with others including engineers and project teams to identify and solve problems/faults and improve processes.
