We are looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a team of skilled engineers based in Rochdale specialising in turnkey systems for the manufacture of a wide range of products.

This role involves site installations, interpreting electrical drawings, and conducting fault-finding and testing while upholding stringent safety and quality standards.

• £17.14 per hour
• Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm / Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm
• Unlimited overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
• 31 days holiday (rising by 2 days for 5 years)

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?

•  Carrying out electrical wiring and circuitry tasks on a diverse range of equipment, including Nuclear, Food and Confectionery, and Pharmaceutical control systems as directed by management
• Attending sites to install cable management and wiring systems, connecting control panels to field process systems and machinery
• Following electrical drawings, adhering to specific build requirements, international standards, and company procedures
• Completing and complying with all documentation and instructions issued in line with company protocols
• Implementing fault-finding and testing procedures across a variety of equipment
• Adhering to health and safety systems, wearing issued PPE as required
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times
• Being flexible with occasional weekend work and periods away from home
• Undertaking any other duties as directed by management

What do you need?

• Previous electrical fitting experience
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Electrical & wiring experience for control panelling & machinery
• Minimum HNC qualification or time served as an apprentice
• Testing/inspection experience (desirable)
• 17th/18th edition wiring regulations (desirable)
