Job Title: Technical Author / Technical Documentation Writer
Location: Bristol
Salary range: Up to £45,000 depending on experience.
Our client stands as the sole European organisation with expertise in crafting and manufacturing advanced projectile systems and related systems, catering comprehensively to the present and future requisites of all three branches of the armed forces. They are looking for a Technical Author/Technical Documentation Writer to deliver Technical Publications for products across multiple domains.
Security Clearance: UK SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
Please note: ***UK citizenship is mandatory to be able to obtain SC clearance***
Responsibilities
- Develop complex engineering descriptive and procedural documentation.
- Provide technical expertise to ensure design teams understand the publication development, production, and upkeep process.
- Liaise with product suppliers to support technical publication technologies.
- Maintain personal and technical reports, records, etc., of all technical publication activities.
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in technical authoring, especially in SGML utilization.
- Familiarity with S1000D-based authoring tools, BREX, Guidance Documents, CSDB environments, and related reports.
- Possesses a background in a complex engineering industry (ideally in a military environment).
