About Us: Join our dynamic team at RBSL, where we push the boundaries of engineering excellence in support of critical defense programs. We are seeking a talented Senior ILS Engineer to lead and deliver on challenging projects, ensuring the highest standards of performance and quality.

What We Are Looking For: As a Senior ILS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering assigned projects, subcontracts, and vendor accounts. Your expertise in complex engineering problem-solving will be essential as you tackle challenges associated with our work packages. Collaboration is key, as you'll closely liaise with engineering teams, customers, and suppliers, driving projects to meet demanding time, cost, and quality requirements.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ILS work package, including coordination and supervision of a team of ILS engineers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for supply chain interactions regarding ILS deliverables and supportability analysis.
  • Conduct supportability assessments on existing and new systems, providing practical and theoretical expertise.
  • Provide supportability advice to engineering and functional departments, influencing designs where necessary.
  • Lead and manage support specialists to produce engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with training and safety engineers to ensure comprehensive support solutions.

What Qualifications You Should Have:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with post-graduate engineering experience.
  • Extensive supervisory experience in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of support engineering/ILS discipline, including Def-Stan 00-60/00-600 and Defence Logistic Framework.
  • Familiarity with ASD S3000L and its application to supportability analysis.
  • Working understanding of SHE and product safety.
  • Previous team leadership experience preferred.
  • Recent British Army Armoured Fighting Vehicle management experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Innovative problem solver with a proactive approach.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a willingness to embrace new challenges and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse teams and stakeholders.
