Project Engineer

My client is a company who has experienced sustained and sustainable growth over the past few years. Revenue has increased 20% from last year and the order book for this year is already full with a projected 25% increase on turnover from last year. Due to this growth they are looking to add a Project Engineer to their already capable team. Due to the nature of the position the successful candidate will be required to work on client site from time to time and thus a company pool vehicle will be allocated for such a need. The company is also heavily invested in its employee and thus will support the successful indviidual with a degree or specific project related qualifications int he future.

As a Project Engineer you will:- 

• Customer contact for technical queries, also internally sales and production point of contact for the same queries 
• Provide costs and timings for additional arising works that come out of investigating works 
• Have experience of writing technical documents 
• Have experience of running and implementing NPI meetings (new product introduction) which could involve management team, work operatives – welders and non-welders – sales team, production team
• Completing BOMs 
• CAD experience would be a massive draw – no pun intended I’m not that clever! 
• High attention to detail
• Able to interpret drawings and explain them to less qualified people 

The role of Project Engineer would suit:-

- Someone who has experience managing projects from cradle to grave

- An engineer who comes from either a production background and is willing to transition to projects or a project engineer with a sound knowledge of manufacturing techniques

- Degree/HNC/HND qualified

- Good communication at different stakeholders levels

- Previous experience in Rolling stock or Rail industry to be considered at the top rate
