We have a permanent shift Electrician role available within TATA Steel's Corby site. The successful applicant will be working with a multi skilled team and be responsible for conducting PPM activity alongside reactive maintenance activity.

Role: Shift Electrician

Location: TATA Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA

Salary: £31,982 plus 15% shift premium (Total £36,779 rising to £37,586 following successful completion of probation period)

Shift Patterns: 15 shift pattern of 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday. You'll work a week of days 7am-3pm, a week of backs 3pm-11pm and a week of nights 11pm-7am.

Start: ASAP (pending medical)

Responsibilities:

• Conducting planned preventative maintenance
• Maintaining maximum efficiency of machinery
• Troubleshooting relay control circuits
• Recording preventative, corrective, breakdown and shutdown maintenance accordingly
• Interpreting electrical drawings
• Identifying and implementing improvement activity
• Adhering to high levels of Health and Safety at all times

Essential requirements:

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Electrical (NVQ, ONC, BTEC or equivalent)
• Experience with low voltage electrical systems, drives and PLC's
• Ability to fault find and conduct root cause analysis on electrical systems
• Experience working alongside multi skilled engineers
• Ability to work independently and on own initiative
• Good IT literacy skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable requirements:

• Driving licence and use of a car
• Knowledge of SAP PM
