Client Summary:
Service and repair of Rail Wagon Bogies
Position Summary
We are looking for a number of Team Players to join a small but busy team responsible for the strip and maintenance of Rail bogies. Working a day shift within the heart of the Client's Site, the role will involve fabrication and repair of rail bogies / freight wagons and locomotives.
Person Profile/Experience:
We are looking for technically capable Welder Fabricators with experience of working on Rail Wagons, rolling stock, HGV or heavy mobile plant, ex-Military with a suitable technical/engineering background encouraged to apply. Codings not required - but looked upon favourably.
You will be hands on, competent and confident on the tools and be capable of working to engineering drawings and schematics
Your experience will be predominantly within a fabrication background (MIG / MMA)
You will be physically fit and healthy, have a good sense of humour and be prepared to work outdoors where required.
Due to the nature of the work/role, an appreciation of H&S at work is essential, plus in line with Rail Industry Protocols there is a zero policy re being under the influence of Drugs & Alcohol whilst at work. Regular random checks are carried out to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 1 or 2 in a mechanical fitting skill set desirable
Experience supersedes all
