This well-known fire and security systems installer is looking to recruit a fire Detection Design Engineer to work at a large site based in Berkshire, this will be a hybrid role based on site and working from home. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing accurate and compliant designs, proposals, and estimates (including pricing) for all fire detection and alarm systems, covering major projects and small works, both new builds and refurbishments. Candidates will also need knowledge of H&S and CDM regulations, attend client contract meetings as necessary, assist in the preparation of project files to include all BAFE, LPCB/BRE, and BAFE SP203 documentation from design certification through to client acceptance, and liaise with management teams to comply with the company and the client's procedures. Candidates for this role will need extensive design and estimating experience within the fire detection industry, experience with Auto Cad, ideally having an ONC/HND qualification, as well as FIA unit 3 (advanced design or equivalent), be personable and approachable, being a team player, with a full driving licence. This exciting and interesting position comes with a basic salary of £50,000 plus £4,000 site allowance PA, and an excellent benefits package including 25 days holiday, a 9-day working fortnight (every second Friday off), overtime for out-of-hours work, Medicash, excellent maternity/paternity real wage policies, plus there’s excellent training provided and long-term promotional prospects.
