We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Civils and Construction contractor to be based near Chippenham. The role comes with a salary of £46,000.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Responsible for all Commercial aspects of projects.
- Provide support to the tendering process.
- Liaise with clients, senior staff and PQS (Principal Quality Surveyor)
- Manage, support, and provide development to the Commercial Team.
- Anticipate changes with the project.
- Prepare the project procurement schedule.
- Ensure materials are delivered and ready on site.
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure cost and quality are maintained.
- Deliver timely and accurate reports.
- Planning and management of own work and the Commercial Team.
- Identify, manage, reduce, and drive out unnecessary costs.
- Make sure projects budgets and deadlines are met.
- Prepare work packages.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
- Maintain a high level of Commercial and Technical knowledge.
- Detailed knowledge of financial reporting
- Rail background
- Experience in budget management.
