Facilities Maintenance Technician required to join a luxury automotive brand based in Daventry on a permanent basis.

We are in search of a skilled, experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for all future maintenance of the facility with manufacturing plans in mind. You will ensure that the facility runs smoothly, efficiently, and effectively. Making sure manufacturing downtime is at a bare minimum at all times.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary plus benefits. Working in a modern, bright, and airy facility on a Day-shift basis, Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm) with the opportunity for overtime. Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Technician:

 

  • Facility:  General maintenance and cleanliness of the facility to ensure a safe and productive working environment for employees.
  • Future Planning & Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of development and improvement in facility operations, processes, and safety protocols, and implement measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Execute maintenance programs for various facility systems and equipment, including HVAC systems, Paint Booth systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other infrastructure. This involves routine total productive maintenance (TPM) , inspections, and addressing emergency repairs promptly.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that the facility meets all safety regulations and standards. Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Equipment Installation and Commissioning:  Installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, ensuring it is done correctly and according to safety and performance standards.
  • Space Planning and Utilisation: Optimise the use of available space within the facility to support efficient manufacturing processes and accommodate future growth.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility maintenance and improvement projects, ensuring quality of work and timely completion.
  • Compliance Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of facility maintenance, safety inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality control, and procurement, to ensure smooth operations and address facility-related issues affecting the manufacturing process.
