Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Build Recruitment are working with a North London based NHS Trust to appoint two Mechanical Maintenance Technicians: £23.15 p/h (umbrella PAYE).
Reporting to the Head of Estates, the Mechanical Maintenance Technicians will w ork in accordance with the requirements of HTM's, HBN's, British Standards, Model Specifications and all Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice and Trust Policies and Procedures.
Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive tasks across the hospital, the Mechanical Maintenance Technicians will assist with the set up and Implementation/management of the Estates safe systems of work (e.g. Permit to Work, isolation procedures) under the guidance of APs to ensure that all safe systems of work are carried out correctly.
About you:
HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical/Engineering or Plumbing.
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience within the required technical disciplines (e.g. BMS, decontamination, heating, domestic water services, ventilation etc.)
Knowledge of maintenance methodologies
Knowledge of HTM's, HBN's and Estates specific legislation
A full UK driving licence
These roles are temporary to permanent at AfC Band 5
