Shift Engineer

Panama shift pattern, days and nights (12 hour shifts)

Salary: £52,580 + bonus

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, time served Shift Engineer to join a large FMCG organisation on a permanent basis. The successful Shift Engineer will be apprentice trained or have a HNC in Engineering as a minimum. The successful Shift Engineer will also have a background working in FMCG sector and have a strong understanding of process improvements / root cause problem solving.

Duties include ensuring all planned preventative maintenance schedules are carried out to the correct standard, minimising downtime within the factory. You will also work closely with the operators, team leaders and other engineers to support installation and commissioning work across the site. 

Candidates must be flexible to be able to work different shifts at short notice to suit the business needs. The successful Shift Engineer will be rewarded with a competitive salary, annual bonus, competitive pension and other great benefits. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SHIFT ENGINEER:

• Electrical or Mechanical bias - Up to 70/30 either way. Must have a good understanding in both areas.
• Must be apprentice trained or have a HNC in Engineering.
• FMCG BACKGROUND ESSENTIAL!
• Numerical/verbal reasoning, computer literate
• Must have continuous improvement experience / root cause problem solving etc.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with good communication skills
