CNC Machinist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our client's busy production team. The successful individual will be able to demonstrate proven experience in both CNC and manual machining, be comfortable operating a wide variety of tooling, and possess a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Machining parts for our own workshop mostly in mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and high-grade plastics.
- Programming and setting up of work.
- Be comfortable operating the following machinery:
- Daewoo Puma 2500SY Lathe with Fanuc 18i-TB Control
- XYZ 4000 CNC Bed Milling Machine 3 Axis ProtoTrak MX2 Control
- Kingsland Compact 60
- Alligator Autofeed Bandsaw
- PDJ Parts Rumbler
- Acra Pillar Drill
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Commitment to health & safety requirements.
- Ability to read and understand complex technical drawings.
- Experience in both CNC and manual turning and milling.
- Be able to confidently program machines.
- Responsible for general maintenance of machinery and tooling.
- Problem solving and time management.
- Previous metalworking and engineering experience.
- Be proactive and methodical.
- Willingness to learn for opportunity to progress.
- You may also be asked to carry out other duties which are deemed reasonable & within your capabilities to suit the needs of the business.
- Full clean driving license.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 00am - 4.00pm
- Overtime available during busy periods.
Salary
- £16.50 to £18.50 per hour depending on experience.
