NEW PRODUCTION ENGINEER JOB IN FAREHAM, HAMPSHIRE.

A leading design and manufacturer of complex sensing technology for the energy industry are looking for a up and coming Production Engineer to join their continuously growing business in Fareham, Hampshire. They have 20+ years in the industry and they are looking to add a Production Engineer to their Fareham, Hampshire team. 

About the role: As a Production Engineer you will be responsible for the overall equipment effectiveness through effective hands-on preventative maintenance and corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime. Additionally, you will be providing engineering support to the operations and ensuring continuous improvement.

Duties will include:

• Diagnose and root cause of system and component failure.
• Managing the engineering data parts (BoM's, specifications and test requirements).
• Generate production documentation such as assembly instruction, process improvements and testing reports.
• Support the operation and engineering team through process improvement of all electrical/electronic production equipment..

Qualifications and Experience:

• HNC or above in electronics
• Have experience working in high-precision electronics manufacturing environments.
• Experience in electronic instrumentation.
• Knowledge of repair fault finding down to component level.

Skills and Attributes

• Experience with wiring harnesses and electrical cables.
• Proven ability to contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
• Strong decision-making skills with a bias for action.

Desirable:

• Software/firmware programming experience
• hands on experience in designing, testing and validation microcontroller-based PCB designs.
• Theoretical or practical experience in optical fibre systems
