Our industry leading manufacturing business with an impressive growth plan, supported with large-scale investment, and an existing established network of manufacturing facilities across the UK. With plans for investment, we are now seeking to appoint a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to come and join our team at our Forticrete site in Stretton, DE13 0AP.

Competitive salary, working Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm, Friday’s 6.00am to 1.00pm. The successful candidate will be providing plant wide maintenance service, departmental support and mechanical repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Promote the highest Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Facilitate Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service and Repairs

Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs to existing heavy machinery, potentially installing new plant, designing and fabricating parts/structures,

Ensure rigorous application of continuous improvement tools and techniques acro

Computer literate in MS Word and Excel

Knowledge of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques

Good knowledge of current Health and Safety Law and best practice application within a manufacturing environment

Work collaboratively across all support functions, by building effective working relationships, to optimise factory performance.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship to level 3 city and Guilds, NVQ etc

Time Served, Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical), Engineering Manufacture (Mechanical), Mechatronics (Mechanical) or equivalent

Pneumatics, hydraulics, Conveyors, Gearboxes and industrial mechanical skills

Welding skills would be an advantage

High degree of Health & Safety awareness.

Ability to fault find, repair, and provide solutions to problems.

Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems

Knowledge of Welding / Basic Fabrication
