Position : Toolmaker

Location : Sheffield
Hours : Monday to Thursday days only
Salary : £28,000 - £35,000
Due to internal promotion, new vacancy for a Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer to work with a very well established Sheffield manufacturer.
Ideally apprentice trained, you will ideally have some experience of Toolmaking / Tooling repair. Press tool experience is preferred, but any toolmaking / tool repair experience will be considered.
The role is varied but will include :
- Manufacture of new tooling
- Repair and service of tools for production
- Preventative maintenance on tooling including all aspects of machining and bench fitting, i.e. grinding, turning milling etc
- Utilisation of precision / optical measuring equipment to maintain tooling to produce parts to drawing tolerance
- Testing tooling prior to release
- Assisting manufacturing & production with tooling issues
- Replace pilots, probe pins, springs, designing and making special fixtures to fit to tools
