Job Requirements for the Senior Automation Engineer:
As the days based senior automation engineer, you will support the engineering team and technicians with advanced automation tasks including, but not limited to:
- Experience of Rockwell FactoryTalk SE SCADA, Rockwell FactoryTalk including configuration and fault finding.
- Ensure a seamless maintenance routine of all assets through effective communication between the operational employees, engineering planners/team leaders and engineering management.
- Working experience with Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Modbus Serial and Profibus DP.
- Manage all software and documentation change control for automation platforms.
- Working experience with Powerflex drives and working to voltages up to 400VAC.
- Working with PLC/HMI/SCADA (Allen Bradley & Rockwell products) - essential requirement.
- Assist in the procurement of planning of spares, factoring in maintenance schedules, lead times and consumption trends.
- Work collaboratively with group IT ensuring continuity with the IT/Automation topology, ensuring all equipment performance is optimised.
Person Requirements for the Senior Automation Engineer:
- Ideally hold experience of PLC/SCADA/HMI programming
- HNC/ONC/HND/OND level or equivalent engineering qualification
- Ideally degree qualified but not essential
- Full driving licence
