CNC Turner - Days Only

Location - Basildon, Essex

Hourly Rate - £16 - £18 Per Hour + Overtime

Permanent Position

Our client, a precision engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled CNC Turner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations on a range of materials, including steel, aluminium, and plastic.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and set-up requirements.
• Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and gauges, to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as necessary.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Time-served experience or certificated accreditation in CNC Machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
