Would you love to play a pivotal role in the team at the newly transformed Ford Transmissions site in Halewood?

Ford is investing £355m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units and Halewood will be the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe, commencing in 2024 with a capacity of 420,000 units.

Salary: £42,841.75 basic pay
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 - 15:30 and Friday 7:00 - 12:30 (must be flexible to work shift patterns when required)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Relevant Mechanical/Electrical qualification - time served apprenticeship or HNC/HND or degree
• Good knowledge of products and manufacturing processes
• Experience working with CMMs in an engineering environment
• IT literate - ability to use a range of software. Good knowledge of word and Excel
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to read part drawings preferred
• Self-motivated, adaptable and willingness to learn
• Good understanding of 5S and workplace organisation

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Support commissioning of new measurement equipment
• Lead trainer for additional personnel
• Measurement of Internal and external purchased components
• Produce measurement reports for components measured
• Assist with Quality investigations providing measuring support
• Be able to work within a team to ensure tasks are in line with targets
