Role Overview - Lead Software Engineer

Our client is an industry-leading and award-winning manufacturer of bespoke safety equipment based in Worcestershire. They are currently seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team tasked with the technical leadership of software solutions for their innovative products.

The successful Lead Software Engineer will have experience in research and development and be able to take commercial products from concept to manufacturing. You will be responsible for leading and guiding the software team in both embedded and non-embedded domains, setting and tracking project goals, developing complex software systems, and managing project communication, risk mitigation, and resource recruitment.

Requirements - Lead Software Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
• Extensive experience in software development, preferably in commercial product development
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Python, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux, and problem-solving/debugging
