Our client is a world class, Global Manufacturer, providing high quality precision components to multiple sectors including aerospace and automotive. They possess a strong set of values, and their team work, culture and ethics are at the root of their success.  Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Day Shift CNC Turner Programmer / Setter Operator, (FeatureCAM / Fanuc). The ideal candidate will have experience of Live Tooling. Knowledge of Twin spindle lathes would be an advantage, but not essential.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• CNC Turning / Machine Programming / Setting and Operating
• Program using feature Cam software
• Manufacturing components to tight tolerances
• Setting and operating 5 axis machines
• Using Live Tooling for Milled features
• Maintain and managing own supply of consumables
• Interpreting and working to Engineering drawings            

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Demonstrable experience in a similar CNC turning and Programming / Setting and Operating role
• Ability to program using Feature am software
• Ability to manufacture components to tight tolerances
• Ability to set and operate 5 axis machines
• Experience using Live Tooling for Milled features
• Ability to maintain and manage your own supply of consumables
• Must be self-motivated, and able to work under own initiative                                                   
• Ability to program and set Doosan 2100 & 2600 Twin spindle lathes would be an advantage                         
• Ability to read and program using FANUC would be an advantage                                                                             

DETAILS OF PACKAGE

Circa £36,400 PA + Overtime + Competitive Benefits including above average paid holidays.

NB: Salary review due in April, with probable increase pending.

Hours: 0700 to 1530 Monday to Thursday and 0700 till 1200 on Friday
