CNC Setter / Programmer - Milling
Company: Our client is currently seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Programmer - Milling to join their team on a late shift (2pm to 10.15pm Monday to Friday).
Summary:
As a CNC Setter / Programmer - Milling, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production of goods and services at the right cost and level of quality, adhering to company standards and schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines for milling operations.
- Occasionally perform programming on machines for modifications.
- Load CNC programs and prepare cutting tools.
- De-burr components and conduct running and random batch inspections.
- Verify machine settings and ensure accuracy of operations.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow the Quality Management System Quality Brief.
- Achieve production targets and deadlines based on engineering drawings.
- Monitor and implement quality control programs (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, Q1).
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and report any issues.
- Provide and maintain serviceable tools required for the job.
- Must pass and maintain a BPSS security check due to the nature of the business.
Team Working:
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote the best interests of our client's Industrial Engineers at all times.
About You:
- Experienced in setting CNC milling machines, ideally with knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls.
- Capable of setting up 3-axis and 4-axis jobs and making minor edits or adjustments to CNC programs via machine controls.
- Strong understanding of engineering tolerances and quality inspection requirements.
