Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be partnering with Active Energy Solutions as they are currently seeking Service Engineers to join AES on a permanent basis. Ideally based in the Central Belt, candidates must be willing to travel to customer sites across Scotland and the UK. You will have the chance to work in diverse environments such as schools, universities, military sites, and shipyards, providing you with valuable exposure to varied working conditions. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour are essential for interacting with customers effectively. Their client base includes various industrial and educational establishments requiring Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, along with a range of engineering workshop machinery and products.

Service Engineers will be provided with a company van, mobile phone, tablet, PPE, workwear, testing equipment, and tools. Travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on a variety of equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations, often as part of a team.
  • Investigate and rectify faults in field-based equipment at client sites, providing comprehensive reports on findings.
  • Conduct installations, modifications, and upgrades to machinery and LEV systems, incorporating both electrical and mechanical components.
  • Commission machinery and LEV systems electrically and mechanically following installations.

Qualifications Required:

  • HNC or higher qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship program.

Ideal equipment experience:

  • Woodworking and Metal Working machinery
  • Various LEV systems with fan and filter units
  • Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starts, Star/Delta & DOL Units
  • Pressure Transducers, Pressure Switches, Emergency Control Relays
  • PLC Units, Solenoids, Single & Three-phase motors
  • Bearings, Fans, and Impellers
