Senior Project Manager

The Company

This Senior Project Manager’s role is with one of the UK’s major main contractors. They have established themselves as being a leading main contractor in the commercial, residential, public and interiors sectors. They work on a diverse range of both new build and refurbishment schemes ranging in value from £20m – £300million. This current position is for a Senior Project Manager to join the team on a £40 million new build school in North West London.  

The Role

As a Project Manager your main responsibility will be for the delivery of your project to programme, meeting the quality expectations, within budget and in a safe organised manner.

Your role will include:

• Overall responsibility for the success the project
• Allocate resources and staff ensuring the project has appropriate on site supervision
• Assist in the development of programmes for project delivery and monitoring.
• Identify the quality expectations and ensure these are achieved.
• Manage statutory and company requirements for managing Health, Safety and environment compliance.
• Understands the contractual requirements of the project.
• Identifies and manages risk.
• Agree requirements for time, cost and quality aspects of trade contractor packages.
• Maintaining good relationships with clients, consultants and sub-contractors.

To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate and engaging approach. You will have good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership for education/schools projects.
