Transport Planner - Development Control
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a busy council in Central London on an ongoing contract basis.
 
As the Transport Planner you will:
 
Support the Director of Planning and Development in helping to deliver new development which aligns with the Corporation's strategic transport objectives and which secures high quality outcomes and improvements for the future operation of the councils streets, Public realm and the wider transport network.
 
Deal with relevant highway, walkway and transportation issues post-planning stage in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 under the direction of the Director of Planning and Development.
 
Negotiate and secure any Section 278 works throughout the planning application process to meet relevant statutory planning requirements in respect of transportation or highways issues. To liaise with the councils operations throughout the design and implementation stages of S278 agreements.
 
This is a full time contract opportunity which offers flexible working.
