A successful nationwide MEP consultants, with a UK wide presence and an international office, are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a role in Stretford to work on a large variety of projects in the UK. The focus of your work will be on the Healthcare sector working on a selection of new builds and refurbishment and working extensively on modern methods of construction including modular offsite installations.

As part of a planned expansion of the Manchester office, you will join an exciting and dynamic company. They are looking for an equally dynamic individual with a real passion for MEP Engineering and Building Services design who is keen to make a difference to an organisation and to the Healthcare infrastructure in the country.

The work that you will produce will be varied, and whilst not being totally limited to Healthcare, it will be a majority of the workload. You will be looking at everything within a Hospital, including but not limited to, operating theatres, day case centres, reception and office areas, laboratories, wards and outpatient areas.
You will need to be working as an Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within a Building Services Environment, working across the design of all applications to CIBSE and HTM guidelines. You need to have some strong knowledge of BS7671 and other associated guidelines. You will also need to show that you are capable of working within a Mechanical Engineering team and more broadly within a Building Services and multi-disciplinary environment.

It is essential for this Stretford opportunity that you are educated to degree level as a minimum in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, preferably holding a BEng or Masters degree qualification. Experience within the sector is a requirement for this role in a very similar position.
