A large manufacturing company in the Tendring Area, are looking for a Test Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be testing products right from the production line, ensuring they operate as expected. An eye for detail and a passion for electronics and engineering is a must to succeed in this role, along with being forward thinking, self-motivated and willing to learn. Duties:

• Perform daily production test procedures on a range of electrical assemblies, such as programmable switching product, high voltage, RF, and instrumentation
• Fault finding down to component level
• Maintain test records and results in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal procedures
• Perform clean and accurate repairs on issue products
• Develop test processes and procedures for production testing
• Create ATE test programs for new products
• Write C++ code in visual studio to automate tests
• Provide accurate feedback to the Research and Development department on the overall design and build quality
• Perform technical investigations on a range of customer returns, e.g. High Voltage, RF, instrumentation

Person:

• Preferably qualified in engineering, ideally with a high electronic content
• Understanding of ISO9001
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
• Working in a pressurised environment along with being organised and well disciplined
• Producing accurate reports for data analysis
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
