Senior Control System Engineer (800xa)
My client, an international systems integrator based in Aberdeen is looking for a Senior Control System Engineer to support with oil & gas projects. The engineer will ideally have experience with ABB systems and technology although, knowledge of other providers will suffice i.e. Allan Bradley, Siemens etc.
Main responsibilities
- Design, develop and commission automated systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with clients and engineers to develop solutions to industrial processes and projects.
- Analyse and troubleshoot plc hardware and software for system optimisation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Travel offshore to install, commission and troubleshoot on company projects.
Essential Experience
- 5 plus years of experience in plc programming and industrial automation.
- Experience in a variety of plc/automation systems.
- Strong understanding of ladder logic and PLC architecture.
- Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software and SCADA systems.
Desirable Experience
- ABB Automation and control systems experience - 800xa, AC800m, INFI, AC450 etc.
Salary & Package
- £60K - £65K (Potentially more depending on experience)
- OTE earnings approximately £20K+ annually.
