Are you an experienced Research and Development Engineer looking for an exciting, new role with a rapidly expanding, award winning manufacturer? Have you got a Research and Development experience in a mechanical, electronic or textile manufacturing setting? We are currently recruiting for a Research and Development Engineer to join a genuine industry leader in Caerphilly. This is a great opportunity to join an innovative, forward thinking manufacturer that can boast multiple awards and 'Investors in People Gold' status.

As Research and Development Engineer you will:

• Use your electro, mechanical or textile experience to full advantage
• Be involved in managing key projects for a number of high profile clients
• Develop and design new products and take an active role in product design change and optimisation in response to customer complaints as well as report product quality issues
• Communicate and resolve technical issues
• Lead cross-functional development projects, support internal production needs and actively seek new market information and technological developments in order to improve existing products and design new ones
• Lead presentations and liaise with senior management on a daily basis
• Have a good understanding of IEC60601 family standards, ISO13485, ISO14971 and BSEN62304
