HGV Technician / Mechanic

Wolverhampton, West Midlands

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic / Technician for a well-established and successful transport business near Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Heavy Goods Vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include:

• Fault diagnostics and repair work on a variety of HGVs - Artics, Tippers, Low-loaders, Trailers etc.
• Carry out regular safety inspections to DVSA standards
• Correctly complete all paperwork, including job cards and service sheets in a timely manner
• Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping throughout all working areas
• Maintain excellent standards of health and safety
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Work well with team members to ensure timely repairs and exceptional customer service is achieved

Skills & Experience required includes:

• Proven experience as an HGV/PSV/LGV Mechanic / Technician is essential
• Full Class 1 C+E Driving Licence is required
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong knowledge of heavy goods vehicle systems and components
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team
