ATA are closely working with a global leader in intralogistics and materials handling technology, who provide state of the art technological solutions for customers such as Coca-Cola, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Pfizer.

Part of a group of companies our client has seen year on year growth and are currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team at the modern offices in Nottingham.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be part of a successful design function working on varied and multiple projects for their global client base, you will also have the opportunity to develop and progress within the business with a structured growth and training plan, which includes external training courses and support for further education.  

The Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing the Schematics and Control panel, collaborating with the Mechanical design team in Germany to ensure accuracy and quality on all designs.

Some of the duties that the Electrical Design Engineer will have to carry out are to:

  • Create engineering drawings, specifically electrical diagrams for equipment connections.
  • Develop bills of material (BOMs) for electrical panels and components.
  • Modify existing control panel designs.
  • Complete electrical power calculations.
  • Utilise computer-aided design (EPLAN) software for wiring diagrams and system layouts.
  • Approve and sign of on technical drawings.

The Candidate:

To be successful in your application for the Electrical Design Engineer role you will need:

  • An Electrical engineering qualification.
  • To be able to design using Electrical CAD package.
  • Passion for engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To be accountable and a strong team player.
