NDT Technician

A leading global solutions provider, in the Neath/Port Talbot area, are looking to on board an NDT (non-destructive testing) technician to join their expanding team.

The successful NDT Technician would be required to work a three-shift pattern; 6am - 2pm, 2pm -10pm and 10pm -6am.   This role is paying £12.53/£13.53 per hour + Shift allowance 

Responsibilities:
  • Performing in process quality checks ensuring products comply with specifications
  • Performing non-destructive inspections on all components. Recording, organising and evaluating test results and generating NDT inspection reports
  • Highlighting any non-conformances and actively contributing to the overall quality of the product and processes
  • Maintaining test equipment and calibration is compliant for tests to be performed
  • Understanding the materials to be tested, how they are manufactured and the impact on the end product
  • Liaising with all departments to enhance the overall product/process quality is of the very highest standard

Experience / Skills:
  • Hold a PCN level 2 or ASNT level 2 in both DPI and MPI testing
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent)
  • Experience with NDT (non-destructive testing)
  • Knowledge of problem solving and/or continuous improvement techniques
