I am pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work with a market leading, Engineering business just outside of Huddersfield who operate from a custom built site and have been established for over 40 years, investing in the best people and equipment to remain at the forefront of their respective industry.

They are looking for a Buyer to join their busy team and be involved in all aspects of the day to day operational purchasing, working very closely with the design and production teams.

The company manufacture for a number of different industries, with a huge variety of suppliers and customers globally.

You will work with an experienced and professional Purchasing Manager who will be on hand early into the role to ensure you get up to speed quickly.

Overview of the Role day to day:

• To review MRP system information on a daily basis and take appropriate actions on agreed stock levels.
• To build BOM’s on items and store information on the MRP.
• To identify mutually beneficial opportunities for new supplier agreements and implement these seeking to agree improvements to pricing and call-off processes.
• To place and expedite purchase orders where necessary.
• To take ownership of current suppliers & stock control of all raw materials.
• To actively visit and benchmark with market suppliers to ensure the business is always getting the best market value on materials.
• Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure purchased parts remains aligned to capacity.
• To ensure that any and all issues requiring escalation are indeed escalated in a timely manner to minimise the knock-on effects to customers.

The company are offering a salary of £30k including contributory pension, 25 days holiday.
