Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work in Walthamstow area. This role is commutable across the city and from the surrounding areas. Career opportunities are limitless. We are looking for someone, who is prepared to go out on site working with the supervisors and clients, carrying out practical duties involving measuring on site, noting variations, additions, and omissions. Working with Commercial Managers who will provide ongoing training and mentoring.

Quantity Surveyor, Assistant. Role outline.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will have worked in a similar industry with experience of Highways, Infrastructure or Civils Maintenance Projects or Groundworks schemes.

• To be an integral member of the commercial team reporting to a Commercial Manager.
• Build strong relationships with internal and client counterparts.
• Work on commercial projects from pre-contract stage through to completion, ensuring contracts returns are maximised.
• Engaging with sub-contractors including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applications.
• Support the production of monthly CVR's.
• Assist in producing both internal and client forecasts.
• Assist in production and substantiation through to agreement of associated Final Accounts.
• Ensure all company and client processes are followed to minimise commercial risk.
• Work with your team and ensure all work completed is accurately valued and followed through to revenue collection.

Salary package:

£32,000 to £38,000 negotiable with 24 days holiday.

You must be able to travel across the region of work, Walthamstow.

The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying.
• 1-2 years practical experience after graduating.
• NEC TSC contract experience.
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Good oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical ability.
• Process driven with commercial awareness and good negotiation skills.
