Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Maintenance Fitters and Plant Fitters who are interested in a DAYS only mechanical role based in Sheffield.
We are looking for experienced mechanical fitters looking for more autonomy and the opportunity to implement their own proactive approach to PPMs and maintenance scheduling. Our client can offer direct progression route to Maintenance Manager and plenty of overtime and the chance to increase earnings.
Role Profile
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30 (45 hours per week), with overtime payable at x1.5 and x2.0 outside of these.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair tasks at a busy metal processing facility.
- Working on machinery including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, shredders mobile plant machinery.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules and plans to ensure efficient running of machinery.
- Manage subcontractors.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems.
Engineer Profile
- 3-5 years+ experience working in in a heavy mechanical environment.
- Ideally working in the recycling sector but alternatively quarrying, wash plant/colliery, steelworks, heavy engineering.
- Ideally experience with mobile plant machinery in addition to static recycling/processing plant.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Based locally / commutable distance of Sheffield.
